TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

 

 Placing an Order

1. An order may be placed with Howe Contemporary Furniture on receipt / acceptance of quotation.

2. All details contained within the invoice are to be checked by the purchaser (including covering selection, timber stain, dimensions, design detail etc).

3. Orders must be placed in writing via purchase order (email).

4. Once order is acknowledged an invoice will be prepared and emailed to the purchaser.

 

Stocked Goods

1. For stocked items a deposit equal to 50% of the total value of the products ordered is payable prior to supply of goods (balance of the invoice is payable prior to delivery)

2. Deposits are NOT REFUNDABLE.

3. There is a re-stocking fee of 10%.

4. Goods are not secured until remittance received (email remittance to sales@howecontemporaryfurniture.com ).

5. Advised delivery dates advised are estimates only.

 

Manufactured / Custom Goods

1. Custom / manufactured goods are to be paid in full on receipt of invoice (prior to manufacture). Manufacturer will not commence until remittance received (email remittance to sales@howecontemporaryfurniture.com ).

2. Time frame/lead-time of manufacture of goods is at the discretion of Howe Contemporary Furniture and will be advised at placement of order.

3. Advised delivery dates advised are estimates only.

4. Goods are manufactured in accordance with invoice detail and supported imagery provided by purchaser.

5. Regarding new or customer own designs, goods will be designed based on an image/picture is supplied by the purchaser, due to copyright laws in Australia goods will not be exactly copied.

6. Image / picture provided are for illustrative purposes only and may not always be identical to the actual product. Howe Contemporary Furniture reserve the right to make product enhancements or improvements at any time in order to offer superior products.

7. Manufacture time-frame/lead-time is not guaranteed and can change anytime.

8. The purchaser may inspect goods after manufacture/prior to delivery at 81-87 Hobart St, Riverstone NSW 2765. To inspect goods, an appointment must be made by calling +61 (0) 400 736 452. By inspecting goods prior to delivery may result in delivery delays. An inspection time-frame of 2 days is permitted immediately after manufacture of goods, there are no inspection time extensions unless otherwise allowed.

 

Indent Goods

1. Indent goods are to be paid in full on receipt of invoice (prior to ordering).

2. Goods are not secured until remittance received (email remittance to sales@howecontemporaryfurniture.com ).

3. Advised delivery dates advised are estimates only.

 

Payment

1. All goods described on invoice (ref invoice / order number above) must be paid for in full prior to scheduled delivery date

2. All quotations submitted by us are conditional upon 40% deposit balance prior to dispatch. Our confirmation of order is binding for the contract contents.

3. Payment will be accepted by Cash or bank transfer (EFT) only.

 

Delivery of Goods

1. Goods will not be delivered unless balance of invoice is paid.

2. Delivery is charged separately

3. Howe Contemporary Furniture may withhold delivery of the Goods until the purchaser has paid invoice in full.

4. Delivery dates and time-frames are estimates only and may change at short notice, Howe Contemporary Furniture will not be responsible for any delivery delays or changes that are beyond our control.

5. Howe Contemporary Furniture may charge a secondary delivery fee or demurrage fees in the event the purchaser/receiver not being at the scheduled delivery address and time.

 

Installation / Assembly of Goods

1. All goods are to be either pre-assembled or assembled on site as per details on invoice.

2. Installation and or assembly is charged separately.

3. Wall paneling as part of banquette seating or as a feature wall is to be installed by Howe Contemporary Furniture unless otherwise agreed and prearranged.

 

Warranty

 All products are subject to the particular products manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer's warranty is subject to inspection by a manufacturer or importer and follows the guidelines of the manufacturer's warranty.

Disclaimers

Upholstery Leather

1. Leather supplied by Howe Contemporary Furniture is from genuine cattle hide. During the animal’s lifetime it may have been in contact with barbed wire, bushes, horns of other animals or flees and insects. These encounters may leave scars and scratches that have healed naturally. Natural leather may also have various wrinkles and variation/differences in tone and grain. They do not detract from the wearing qualities of the leather, in fact they enhance its appearance as they are the proof-marks of genuine leather.

2. Leather is a natural product. All leathers by nature are different.

3. Initially and over time some stretching/sagging may occur.

4. Deterioration due to incorrect or inadequate maintenance cannot be considered a fault in the leather and claims due to this will not be entertained.

6. Leather specified / selected is the responsibility of the purchaser, Howe Contemporary Furniture will not be held responsible for incorrect selection and or suitability.

Upholstery Vinyl  

1. Vinyl supplied by Howe Contemporary Furniture is either residential or commercial grade.

2. Follow specific vinyl care instructions found on goods purchased, general care guide can be found at www.howecontemporaryfurniture.com/care

3. Vinyl specified / selected is the responsibility of the purchaser, Howe Contemporary Furniture will not be held responsible for incorrect selection and or suitability.

 

Upholstery Fabric

1. Fabric supplied by Howe Contemporary Furniture is either residential or commercial grade.

3. Fabric specified / selected is the responsibility of the purchaser, Howe Contemporary Furniture  will not be held responsible for incorrect selection and or suitability.
